The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is holding a one-day state-level workshop today in Dehradun to strategise and finalise its roadmap for Mission 2027, with an eye on securing a third consecutive electoral victory in Uttarakhand. The workshop is being held at a private institute in Kuawala.
Our correspondent reports that prominent BJP leaders are attending the event, including National General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santosh, Uttarakhand in-charge and National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam, state Co-in-charge Rekha Verma, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, State President Mahendra Bhatt, and the State General Secretary (Organisation) Ajay Kumar.
The workshop is intended to bring together the newly appointed state officers of BJP, alongside existing leadership, to brainstorm the tasks ahead of elections in 2027. Party sources say the programme will include sessions to assess the party’s strengths and weaknesses, review its performance at the ground level, and plan outreach strategies for key constituencies.
Our correspondent adds that under the guidance of B.L. Santosh, special focus will be laid on strengthening party organization across all districts, improving coordination between the central leadership and the state unit, and identifying leaders who can be groomed for the next electoral contest.
Another point of discussion is expected to be voter engagement – specifically youth and women voters, whose support is seen as critical to the BJP maintaining its edge in Uttarakhand. The leadership aims to map areas where dissatisfaction or apathy is high and chalk out campaign strategies to address local issues.
Our correspondent reports that the party will also evaluate its policy implementation record, such as welfare schemes and development work, to showcase achievements in the run-up to 2027. Messaging and communication — both offline and through social media — are likely to receive special attention in session plans.
Organizers have described the event as more than just internal deliberations. It is being positioned as a public demonstration of BJP’s readiness and commitment to governance. By involving top state and national leaders, the party seeks to send a strong signal to both supporters and opponents about its intent for the next round of elections.
Political analysts believe that today’s workshop is a crucial moment for the BJP in Uttarakhand. If the leadership can effectively translate plans into action — especially in terms of grassroots mobilization and addressing local grievances — the party may bolster its chances of a hat-trick victory in 2027. However, failure to deliver on promises and maintain internal unity could become vulnerabilities.
Our correspondent adds that internal feedback from BJP’s district units indicates there are concerns over issues like rural infrastructure, road connectivity, health services, and employment. These are likely to feature in the leadership’s priorities emerging from the workshop.
