CM Dhami Meets Citizens in Nainital, Reviews Public Grievances

NAINITAL: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met residents from various parts of Nainital district on Thursday and listened to public grievances during an interaction session held at the Administrative Academy in Nainital. The Chief Minister directed officials to take prompt action on the issues raised and ensure timely resolution.

Residents from Saud village expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for approving the Pangot–Dechauri road project. They said the demand for this road had been pending for a long time and the decision would bring significant relief to local villagers by improving access, connectivity and essential services.

During the meeting, villagers also raised concerns regarding inadequate teaching staff at the Government Inter College in Saud, along with the need for construction of a new school building. They informed the Chief Minister that the shortage of teachers was affecting regular studies and that the existing building required urgent attention to meet safety standards.

Responding to their concerns, the Chief Minister instructed the District Magistrate to take necessary steps for teacher appointments and to initiate action on the proposed building construction. He said that ensuring better educational facilities in rural and hill regions remained a priority for the state government.

The meeting was attended by Nainital MLA Sarita Arya, BJP District President Pratap Bisht, Minister of State Anil Kapoor Dabbu, Kumaon Divisional Commissioner Deepak Rawat, Inspector General of Police Kumaon Riddhim Agarwal, District Magistrate Lalit Mohan Royel, Senior Superintendent of Police Manjunath TC and several other officials and public representatives.

Officials briefed the Chief Minister on the status of ongoing development works in the district. The Chief Minister instructed them to resolve public issues in a time bound manner, maintain transparency and ensure that field inspections are conducted regularly.

Citizens present at the meeting also expressed hope that their concerns would be resolved swiftly under the Chief Minister’s guidance. The interaction concluded with assurances from the administration that all issues raised would be reviewed and necessary action would follow.
