Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 at Greater Noida on Thursday, an event designed to showcase the state’s growing industrial, agricultural and cultural strengths. The exhibition will run from 25 to 29 September and is expected to draw wide participation from domestic and international stakeholders.
The trade show will highlight Uttar Pradesh’s capabilities across sectors such as handicrafts, textiles, leather, agriculture, food processing, IT, electronics and AYUSH. Organisers said the platform will provide businesses and entrepreneurs with opportunities to forge partnerships, explore new markets and expand investment avenues.
Following the inauguration, Modi will travel to Rajasthan where he is scheduled to launch and dedicate development projects worth ₹1.22 lakh crore. These include initiatives in irrigation, green energy and power transmission.
Among the most significant projects is the Mahi Banswara Atomic Power Project, a 2,800 MW facility with an estimated cost of ₹42,000 crore. The project is being seen as a cornerstone in the country’s push to expand nuclear energy capacity and strengthen long term energy security.
Other projects in Rajasthan will focus on renewable energy, including solar installations and supporting transmission infrastructure, in addition to schemes for irrigation and water management in rural districts. Officials said these initiatives would contribute to both regional development and national energy goals.
The Uttar Pradesh trade show, meanwhile, is being positioned as a major platform for investment and trade promotion. Business chambers and industry leaders have welcomed the initiative, saying it will enhance the visibility of the state’s traditional crafts while also promoting emerging sectors such as electronics and IT services.
Government representatives stated that the exhibition aligns with broader national objectives of self reliance and export growth. By connecting local producers with buyers from across India and abroad, the event is expected to support small and medium enterprises while showcasing Uttar Pradesh as a destination for large scale investment.
Observers note that the Prime Minister’s participation underscores the strategic importance of both events. Uttar Pradesh has been among the fastest growing states in attracting new investment proposals, while Rajasthan’s energy projects are central to India’s transition towards a diversified and secure energy mix.
The dual focus on trade promotion and infrastructure development highlights the government’s twin priorities of economic growth and sustainable development. Officials said the coming days will see detailed presentations, investment announcements and cultural programmes designed to strengthen the global image of both Uttar Pradesh and India.
