Union Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan has made an official declaration.
He said that those flood victims of Punjab who want to work under MGNREGA will be given 50 days more than the stipulated 100 days of guaranteed work under this National scheme to sustain themselves.
The Minister who visited flood-affected areas of Amritsar including Ajnala yesterday and shared their pain assured those houses got damaged in floods will be reconstructed under the PM Sadak Yojna Grameen.
Mr. Paswan said more funds would be given to affected people from PM Relief Fund. Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, George Kurian who also visited the worst affected district Gurdaspur and assured all possible assistance to the state government.
