In a solemn tribute to the architect of India’s unity, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) and extended his greetings to the people of the state.

The Chief Minister bowed before the Iron Man of India and said that his contribution to safeguarding the unity and integrity of the nation will always be remembered. He described Sardar Patel as a symbol of strength, determination, and vision, who transformed India into a united and powerful nation after Independence.

Dhami said that Sardar Patel’s diplomatic skills and farsighted leadership were crucial in integrating hundreds of princely states into one strong republic. “He realised the dream of a united India and laid the foundation of a nation built on discipline, courage, and national pride,” he added.

Our correspondent reports that the Chief Minister emphasised how Patel’s ideals continue to inspire the country even today. He said that Patel’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India) remains deeply relevant, reminding citizens of their collective duty toward unity, harmony, and nation-building.

The Chief Minister remarked that Sardar Patel gave India a sense of togetherness despite its diversity. “Every citizen of this country will forever remain indebted to him for his unmatched contribution to building an integrated India,” Dhami said.

He called upon the youth to draw inspiration from Patel’s life and dedicate themselves to the nation’s comprehensive progress. “This day reminds us to rededicate ourselves to the service of the nation and to uphold the spirit of unity that Sardar Patel stood for,” he added.

Dhami further said that the year 2025 marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which will be celebrated across the country with pride and reverence. He called it a moment of national inspiration and pride, stating that Sardar Patel’s ideals will continue to guide India’s future generations.
