Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday attended the Divya Kirtan Darbar held at Nanakana Sahib Gurudwara in Kashipur, in Udham Singh Nagar district where he joined devotees in prayer and expressed deep reverence for the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The Chief Minister said that the serene experience of listening to Gurbani’s divine melody brought him “a sense of inner peace and spiritual energy.” He described the gathering as a moment that embodied both unity and devotion, highlighting the Gurudwara as a space where people come together in the spirit of harmony.
Quoting Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s timeless wisdom, Dhami said, “His teachings inspire us to walk on the path of truth, service, and equality.” He prayed to Waheguru for continued blessings on all, adding that following Guru Nanak’s message was the way to build a society rooted in compassion and integrity.
The Chief Minister also joined the Nagar Kirtan organised in Kashipur by the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Amritsar, which saw enthusiastic participation from devotees and community members.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said, “This sacred opportunity has given me unforgettable spiritual energy and unity among the sangat. Such events remind us of the invaluable cultural and spiritual heritage that continues to guide generations.”
The programme witnessed large participation, with the atmosphere enriched by devotional hymns and the collective spirit of faith. The Chief Minister’s presence, along with his words of encouragement, struck a chord with the community, underscoring the importance of upholding Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s values in everyday life.
