Vice President CP Radhakrishnan will be on a day-long visit to Bihar today. After arriving at Patna, Mr. Radhakrishnan will pay floral tribute to Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan at Jayaprakash Golambar in Patna this morning.
He will participate in the valedictory ceremony of the third edition of Unmesh, a Sahitya Akademi programme in Patna.
Renowned as one of Asia’s largest literary festivals, this event has brought together over 600 litterateurs, artists, and theatre personalities from India and abroad, representing more than 90 languages and dialects.
The Vice President will also offer prayers at the Chamunda Devi Temple in Katra, Muzaffarpur in afternoon.
Akashvani correspondent reports, the Vice President will grace the valedictory ceremony of the third edition of Unmesh, organised by the Sahitya Akademi in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, in Patna.
This is his first visit to Bihar after assuming the office of Vice President. Renowned as one of Asia’s largest literary festivals, the event has brought together over 600 litterateurs, artists, and theatre personalities from India and abroad, representing more than 90 languages and dialects.
During the four-day event, various sessions were held on literature, cinema, social media, Dalit issues, women’s literature, theatre, and other contemporary topics.
The curtains will come down on this mega literary festival this afternoon in Patna.
