Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the State Level Khel Mahakumbh-2024 in Dehradun on Sunday. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said, the state government is continuously working to encourage sportspersons.
Mr. Dhami said that the medal winning players of the State Level Khel Mahakumbh will also be given the benefit of four percent reservation like other players in direct recruitment posts.
The Chief Minister said that the Khel Mahakumbh is a special event. In this, players get a chance to showcase their talent from Gram Panchayat to Block, District, to the state level.
Addressing the players, the Sports Minister of the state Ms. Rekha Arya said that the player who breaks the national record in this Khel Mahakumbh will be given a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh.
