National Award-winning short film ‘Chalo Jeete Hain’ is being screened across the country as part of the 75th birthday celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In Puducherry, special screenings of the film began last night at PVR Cinemas. BJP functionaries and members of the general public attended the first show.
Vetriselvan said Chalo Jeete Hain conveys the life message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi – that we should live and work for others. Another spectator, Govindan, expressed happiness that the film clearly portrays the childhood of Prime Minister Modi.
This short film, which won the National Award for Best Non-Feature Film on Family Values in 2018, is a heartfelt tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy: “Only those truly live who live for others.”
The film will release in nearly 500 theatres across India, including popular chains like PVR Inox, Cinepolis, Rajhans and Miraj. In addition, lakhs of schoolchildren will watch the movie as part of this special drive.
To mark this re-release, a campaign titled “Chalo Jeete Hain: Seva Ka Sanman” has launched. As part of it, schools will honour their “Silent Heroes”, the watchmen, cleaning staff, drivers, peons and other workers who keep everything running smoothly but often go unnoticed.
