Maharashtra CM Pays Tribute to Renowned Kannada Writer S.L. Bhyrappa.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid tribute to a prolific writer, Shri S.L.Bhyrappa, today.

On the social Media post, Mr Fadnvis wrote that he is deeply saddened by the passing of Shri S.L. Bhyrappa ji. He said that he gave India timeless works that stirred hearts and inspired minds. He added that his voice will continue to guide generations in understanding our culture and society. 

Renowned Kannada writer Dr S.L. Bhyrappa passed away in Bengaluru yesterday afternoon. He suffered cardiac arrest in a private hospital where he was admitted for age-related health issues. He was 94 years old.

He was widely regarded as one of the most influential voices in modern Indian literature, had been undergoing treatment at Rashtrotthana Hospital in RR Nagar for age-related ailments. Doctors confirmed he suffered a cardiac arrest. He is survived by wife and two sons.

After his demise, tributes poured in from leaders across the political spectrum, who described it as an irreparable loss to the world of literature.

“His unwavering passion for our history and culture will continue to inspire minds for years to come. My thoughts are with his family and admirers in this sad hour. Om Shanti,” the Prime Minister added.
