Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a high-level meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday to review the state’s law and order, road conditions, Seva Pakwada preparations, and other public welfare matters.
Strong Directives on Law and Order
Our Correspondent reports that the Chief Minister emphasised that providing a smooth, safe and transparent system to the public is the top priority of the government. He directed officials to take strict action against law violators and ensure that CCTV surveillance is maintained at all sensitive locations. Intensive checking drives at state borders and more effective night patrolling by police were also ordered.
Roads to be Made Pothole-Free After Monsoon
Dhami instructed that a special campaign be launched immediately after the monsoon to make roads pothole-free. He ordered that the tendering process for road repairs and improvement works should be completed without delay, ensuring smooth execution of post-monsoon restoration.
Seva Pakwada from September 17th to October 2nd
The Chief Minister announced that Seva Pakwada will be organised across the state from September 17th, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, until October 2nd, Gandhi Jayanti. During this period, service-oriented programmes, awareness campaigns, and public welfare activities will be held in all districts. Officials have been instructed to prepare detailed action plans for each district and ensure their timely implementation.
CM to Personally Inspect Districts
Dhami said he will personally travel by road to different districts to review arrangements. He highlighted the need for maximum public participation so that Seva Pakwada becomes a true celebration of service and civic responsibility.
Action on Sand-Mixed Salt Complaint
Taking serious note of a complaint about sand mixed with salt, Dhami ordered immediate sampling and testing. He warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty after investigation.
