KHATIMA: In the wake of a violent stabbing incident, communal tension gripped Khatima town in Udham Singh Nagar district after the stabbing death of a 23-year-old youth triggered clashes, arson attempts and widespread protests, prompting the district administration to impose prohibitory orders to restore law and order.
The incident occurred late Thursday night when the youth was allegedly stabbed during an altercation in a crowded area of Khatima. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
