He also extended his wishes to the people of Bihar, describing them as “devatuly”—worthy of reverence. In another post, Dhami said, “I am confident that under your leadership, Bihar will set new dimensions in the fields of development and public welfare.” He added that the governance model of the NDA has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to strengthen stability, accelerate welfare programmes and deliver results for common citizens.
Our correspondent reports that the oath ceremony was marked by large attendance, tight security and a visible display of coordination among NDA partners. The presence of senior national leaders emphasised the political significance of the occasion, particularly at a time when Bihar’s political landscape has undergone a renewed alignment in favour of the alliance.
Dhami expressed gratitude for being present during what he described as a “historic mandate” given by the people of Bihar. He noted that the cooperation between the Centre and the state will create new avenues for economic progress, infrastructure growth and employment generation. He said that states governed by the NDA have shown a consistent record of delivering on core priorities such as road networks, health services, women’s empowerment and social security schemes.
Reflecting on Uttarakhand-Bihar ties, Dhami said that thousands of people from Bihar contribute to Uttarakhand’s workforce, markets and cultural diversity. He expressed hope that under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, Bihar would further strengthen its administrative systems and accelerate reforms in education, healthcare, skill development and rural connectivity.
He highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s vision of creating a developed India by 2047 and said the NDA government in Bihar will play a crucial role in realising this national roadmap. Dhami emphasised that the “double-engine” framework has been instrumental in advancing major projects in BJP-governed states. He said that coordination between the Centre and states leads to faster implementation of welfare schemes and enhances accountability.
Senior political observers noted that Dhami’s presence at the ceremony signals Uttarakhand’s continued involvement in national political developments. They said that his message reflects a broader effort by the BJP to project unity across its state leadership and reinforce the momentum generated by recently concluded elections.
Dhami also acknowledged the symbolic importance of Gandhi Maidan, which has witnessed several historic political gatherings. He stated that attending the ceremony at such a venue was a matter of honour and that the new Bihar government carries with it the expectations of millions.
The swearing-in of Nitish Kumar once again marks his continuation in Bihar politics as a key figure who has played an important role in shaping the state’s policy directions for over two decades. Dhami highlighted Kumar’s administrative experience, saying it would contribute significantly to the NDA’s developmental goals.
As the ceremony concluded, Dhami reiterated his best wishes to the new cabinet and expressed confidence that Bihar will witness transformative governance in the coming years under the NDA framework. He affirmed Uttarakhand’s commitment to cooperative federalism and inter-state collaboration.
