Three Dead, Two Injured in Delhi–Yamunotri Highway Crash

A tragic accident occurred on the Delhi–Yamunotri highway near Banshipur, where two speeding motorcycles collided head-on late on Thursday night. The impact proved deadly, claiming the lives of three young men and leaving two others critically injured.

The deceased were identified as Vedansh (20) of Lumbarpur Barotiwala, Dhoni Kashyap (20) of Asan Pul Ward No. 8, and Ramandeep (17) of Vivek Vihar in Herbertpur. They were rushed to hospital by ambulance, but doctors declared Vedansh and Dhoni dead upon arrival. Ramandeep, who had been referred to a private hospital in Dhoolkot, also succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The injured are Vivek Kashyap of Asan Pul and Ankit of Shahpur Kalyanpur Ramgarh. Both remain in critical condition under medical supervision.

According to police, the accident happened during heavy rain and low visibility at night. Senior Sub-Inspector confirmed that the dark and wet conditions may have contributed to the crash. An official inquiry into the incident is underway.
