In his post, Dhami emphasized that the GST reformation to just two slabs—5% and 18%—will provide direct relief to common citizens while empowering medium and small industries and traders. According to him, the reforms will benefit key sectors such as agriculture, health, education, automobiles, and electronics. He further noted that Uttarakhand, with its tourism-dependent economy, will gain significantly from the lowered tax burden, as the reforms promise to boost investment and open up new employment opportunities for the youth.
He concluded his message with deep gratitude, writing, “On behalf of all the residents of the state, heartfelt thanks to the Prime Minister and the Union Finance Minister @nsitharamanji for this historic decision!”
