In a proud moment for Uttarakhand, a digital exhibition was inaugurated in Haridwar as part of the Devbhoomi Silver Jubilee celebrations, showcasing the state’s development journey and administrative reforms. The event drew wide public participation and featured a dedicated section on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), implemented earlier this year.

Our correspondent reports that the exhibition offered a comprehensive overview of Uttarakhand’s progress across multiple sectors. Digital screens, interactive kiosks, and audio-visual displays presented key information on governance reforms, public welfare programmes, and technology-driven initiatives that have shaped the state’s transformation.

Officials stated that the exhibition aimed to inform citizens about the UCC’s objectives, provisions, and social impact, particularly its role in promoting gender equality and legal uniformity. Visitors expressed keen interest in learning how the UCC represents a milestone in social reform and legal empowerment.

The exhibition, themed “Uttarakhand at Four Years: From Public Service to Good Governance,” also featured displays on Digital India Mission, e-Governance, tourism, education, healthcare, self-employment, and women empowerment. The initiative underlined the government’s focus on transparency, accessibility, and inclusive development.

Our correspondent adds that departments such as the Information Department, Women Empowerment Department, Tourism Department, and the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) participated actively in the event. Each department showcased its key achievements, interactive dashboards, and live project data through digital presentations.

Speakers at the event noted that the Devbhoomi Silver Jubilee marks not just the state’s foundation milestone but also reflects Uttarakhand’s cultural pride, governance excellence, and social advancement. They highlighted that such exhibitions strengthen the bridge between governance and the people.

Officials confirmed that similar digital exhibitions will soon be organised in other districts to enhance public awareness and participation. They emphasised that such public engagement platforms are vital for ensuring accountability and building citizens’ trust in governance.

The exhibition stood as a symbol of Uttarakhand’s blend of tradition and technology, reflecting its vision of a modern, self-reliant, and transparent state driven by innovation and inclusive governance.
