The Office of the Accountant General (Accounts and Entitlements) Uttarakhand will organise a General Provident Fund (GPF) Court in Dehradun on October 30. The special initiative aims to ensure the prompt and effective resolution of GPF-related complaints from subscribers across the state.
According to officials, the GPF Court will take place at the Accountant General’s office premises in Dehradun. The initiative has been designed to provide on-the-spot assistance to government employees regarding their provident fund concerns.
Our correspondent reports that the GPF Court will focus on resolving cases related to missing contributions, negative balances, and delays in final payments. The court will also address long-pending grievances by bringing all concerned officers together on a single platform.
The Office of the Accountant General said the aim of the initiative is to ensure transparency and accountability in handling employee financial matters. The event will promote direct communication between contributors and officials, reducing procedural delays and improving trust in the system.
Our correspondent adds that the initiative is being organised in coordination with the District Magistrate of Dehradun, Treasury Officers, Deputy Treasury Officers, and Drawing and Disbursing Officers. Their participation will ensure effective coordination and quick action on pending issues.
Officials stated that the GPF Court reflects the Accountant General’s commitment to offering transparent and responsive public services. It demonstrates a proactive approach to employee welfare, enabling contributors to have their issues addressed efficiently.
The Accountant General’s office also said that this special session will help improve coordination among departments handling GPF accounts. It will also help establish a more streamlined process for handling discrepancies in contribution records and withdrawals.
The GPF Court is part of the broader efforts of the Accountant General’s office to improve service delivery and enhance transparency. Officials noted that several employees face recurring challenges related to missing or delayed entries in their accounts, which this initiative seeks to address.
Employees attending the session will be able to raise their queries directly with authorised officers. They will also receive immediate assistance and updates on the status of their complaints. The presence of senior officers will ensure that complex issues receive priority attention.
Officials further stated that the court’s goal is to resolve all pending cases as early as possible. By integrating technology and inter-departmental coordination, the Accountant General’s office hopes to minimise such issues in the future.
