UKSSSC To Hold Cooperative Inspector Exam On November 16

In a bid to ensure fairness and prevent malpractices, the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has rescheduled the Cooperative Inspector recruitment examination to 16 November. The test had earlier been deferred amid concerns over question paper leaks and procedural lapses that had affected several recruitment drives in the state.

Our correspondent reports that the exam, intended to fill 45 posts of Cooperative Inspector and Assistant Development Officer, was originally slated for 5 October before being postponed to allow more time for enhanced preparations. Officials said that revised centre allocations, stricter security protocols, and a fortified monitoring plan are being put in place to strengthen integrity in the process.

According to UKSSSC Secretary Dr Shiv Kumar Barnwal, the commission is prioritising government institutions such as universities, government polytechnics, and state colleges as examination venues. He stated that all chosen centres will undergo joint inspections by police teams and magistrates to assess suitability, safety, and compliance with security norms.

Dr Barnwal added that admit cards will be issued soon along with fresh centre allocations. He emphasised that the new plan aims to make the process completely foolproof, leaving no room for error or irregularity. Every measure is being taken to safeguard the credibility of the examination process and ensure that no external interference can take place.

In the revised protocol, biometric attendance and document verification will be carried out at the examination centres before candidates enter the main hall. This move is designed to eliminate last-minute vulnerabilities and to streamline the entry process under controlled supervision. Only authorised personnel and registered candidates will be permitted inside the halls once the exam begins.

The commission has also announced that security coverage will be strengthened significantly. Facilities such as mobile jammers, CCTV surveillance, and real-time monitoring from a control room will form part of the new security setup. These arrangements are being closely coordinated with local administrative and technical teams to prevent technical failures and oversight errors that had emerged in earlier examinations.

UKSSSC Chairperson G. S. Martolia acknowledged the necessity of such reforms and said that these steps were crucial to restore the confidence of aspirants. He noted that past lapses had eroded public trust and that this renewed system marks a turning point in the state’s recruitment framework.

Our correspondent adds that the comprehensive plan reflects the state government’s broader commitment to establishing transparent, tamper-proof examinations. The administration has resolved that all future recruitment tests, including other Group C examinations, will follow this enhanced security model to maintain uniformity and fairness across all categories.

Candidates who had applied for the Cooperative Inspector post are advised to check their revised admit cards and examination venues once the official notifications are released. With this reform, the commission aims to deliver a fair, disciplined, and corruption-free recruitment process.
